Overview

This is part market tour and part cooking class. We will shop the local fresh ingredients at the market and we will head to a private house to cook together with Paula, a professional and a raconteur. She knows everyone at the market, frequenting the market since she was a child. Paula has a great food story, as well as a great attachment to Algarvian cuisine that is her home cooking. Paula's feminine and elegant touch adds something truly exceptional to a cooking class, where you enjoy talking and tasting the delicacies cooked but also feel the charm of true Algarvian hospitality.

FAQs

We meet in front of the main entrance of Loulé Municipal Market at 10am.

The total duration is about 4 hours (10:00 to 14:00) but can slighlty change depending on the Menu and food shopping at the market.


The experience is run as a private group (max. 6 people) from 10am to 2pm, but with flexibility and no rush, depending on the time actually needed to cook the dishes and then eat together;

The kitchen is a private kitchen in the chef's house Louletano style or, if you prefer a facility within the restaurant (groups bigger than 6 people), please let us know; in any case, our concept is inclusive and family friendly, but at the same time you will enjoy a real cooking class run by a professional Algarve chef with deep knowledge of  the food and traditional recipes,


Starters: fresh pink tomato salad, tibornas with vegetables au gratin, leek a' Brás, 'Peixinhos da Horta' (little fried fish)

Main course: monkfish and prawn cataplana (may vary depending on fish market of the day)

Dessert: Citrus Mousse a' Algarve style or seasonal fig cakes with almonds

Yes, a bottle of Wine for every two persons is included in the price.It is possible to buy extra wine on site on request.
